About the Program
Selam Children’s Village and Selam Technical and Vocational College, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Skills and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute, have launched the EASE – Skills for Jobs (Qiyas) Project.
This initiative aims to bridge the digital skills gap in Ethiopia by providing young people with high-quality technical training and supporting them in securing employment after completing the program.
The program focuses on practical digital skills development, preparing participants for careers in the growing technology and digital services sector.
Training Program Overview
The Intermediate Digital Skills Training Program is designed to equip youth with industry-relevant technical skills through intensive practical training.
Participants will receive structured learning, mentorship, and career guidance to improve their employability in Ethiopia’s digital economy.
Graduates of the program will also benefit from job placement support and career coaching to help them transition into employment.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Unemployed youth aged 18 – 29 years
• Graduates from TVET institutions or universities
• Dropouts from TVET, university, or high school
• Residents of Addis Ababa, Dessie, or Hossana
Priority Consideration
The program strongly encourages applications from:
• Women
• Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
• Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
Available Training Areas
Participants can specialize in one of the following digital skills areas:
• IT Infrastructure and System Support
• AI-Integrated Digital Marketing
• Digital Device Maintenance
• Web and Enterprise Application Development
Program Benefits
Free Technical Training
Participants will receive four months of intensive training aligned with current industry standards and market demands.
Financial Support
All trainees will receive a monthly transportation allowance during the training period.
Career Development Support
The program provides job placement assistance and career coaching to help graduates secure employment opportunities after completing the training.

• Hossana
