Safaricom Ethiopia is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join its team in Addis Ababa.
Position 1: IT Business Analyst
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Degree in Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of broad technical experience covering areas such as:
- Databases
- Applications
- Infrastructure
- Cloud
- Software development
- Enterprise architecture
- Solutions architecture
- System design
Required Skills & Competencies
- Professional experience in Business Analysis; CBAP/IIBA certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Agile (SAFe/Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience designing and delivering complex technical roadmaps.
- Understanding of working with third-party suppliers.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Ability to drive initiatives without formal authority.
- Ability to guide and teach others on architecture principles.
- Working knowledge of telecom domains, including:
- VAS
- Charging
- CRM
- Digital Services
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Position 2: Digital & Financial Services Audit Manager
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Upper Second-Class Degree in Technology or Business-related fields from a recognized university.
- Professional qualifications such as:
- CIA
- CISA
- CPA
- ACCA
- CRISC
- Or equivalent qualifications are strongly preferred.
Desired Qualification: CIDA
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have been in the current Safaricom role for a minimum of 12 months.
- Must have completed all assigned training courses.

Position 3: Program Manager – Network Deployment
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years of project/program management experience
- PMP certification or similar is an advantage.
- Experience in telecom rollout or technology infrastructure projects.
- Experience with telecom networks and power solutions.
- Strong understanding of telecom power and network components.
- Knowledge of power and TI connection procedures, permits, and integration with telecom infrastructure.
- Familiarity with electrical safety codes for telecom site deployments.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for reporting, data visualization, and performance analysis.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills.
- Ability to manage engineers, vendors, and contractors.
