Position: Motorist (Messenger)
The Motorist (Messenger) plays a key role in ensuring efficient and secure delivery of packages, documents, and company materials between offices, clients, and partners. The role requires professionalism, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Qualification
- Valid Motor Driving License
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a driver, delivery personnel, or messenger
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivery Services: Safely pick up and deliver packages, documents, and materials to designated locations on time.
- Package Handling: Handle all items with care to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Document Delivery: Deliver confidential or sensitive materials discreetly, maintaining full confidentiality.
- Verification & Documentation: Confirm recipient details, obtain delivery confirmations, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Navigation: Use GPS or maps to plan efficient delivery routes and avoid delays.
- Traffic Compliance: Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of assigned vehicles.
- Customer Service: Represent the company courteously and handle inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Security & Safety: Secure all deliveries against theft, loss, or damage.
- Time Management: Organize delivery schedules efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Adjust to changes in traffic, routes, or delivery requirements as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain complete delivery logs and proof of delivery forms.
- Professionalism: Uphold the company’s image through respectful behavior, appropriate dress, and ethical conduct.
