About Population Council Ethiopia
Population Council Ethiopia is an international research organization working in public health and development. In Ethiopia, it is currently implementing studies on reproductive health, including the Hormonal IUD (HIUD), to improve healthcare outcomes.
Position: Junior Accountant
Support financial operations and reporting while collaborating with local and international finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day financial operations
- Assist in financial reporting and documentation
- Coordinate with Ethiopia office and global headquarters
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Management
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience in NGO or international organizations preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Knowledge of accounting software and MS Office
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel when required
Additional Notes
- Experience working with international HQ offices is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
