About Ohio State Global One Health, LLC
Ohio State Global One Health, LLC (Ohio State GOH, LLC) is an affiliated entity of The Ohio State University, engaged in Global Health Security projects focused on building laboratory systems, surveillance capabilities, and One Health workforce capacity across Ethiopia.
GOH LLC collaborates with key national institutions including the Federal Ministry of Health, Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), Regional Health Bureaus, and Universities. The initiative also spans globally across Kenya, Tanzania, Brazil, Thailand, China, India, and other countries to enhance global health resilience through training, applied research, and rapid response to public health emergencies.
Position 1: AEFI Surveillance Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or
- Master’s degree in Public Health or Pharmacy
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in vaccine safety surveillance at a recognized health institution
- Experience in AEFI detection, reporting, and investigation
- Experience delivering training, supervision, and mentorship
- Preferred Credentials:
- CPD or training certification in Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) or Pharmacovigilance
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian health and regulatory system is an added advantage

Position 2: AEFI Surveillance Data Officer
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, Data Science, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in public health data management or analysis
- Experience with AEFI or immunization program data
- Strong proficiency in at least one analytical tool (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, Python)
- Familiarity with immunization program data systems is an asset
- Skills Required:
- High attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
