JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
1: Partner, Data Architect
The successful candidate will be based in one of our Africa offices (Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Rwanda).
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
- Experience designing and implementing data architectures for enterprise environments, particularly building capabilities within an immature organization.
- Familiarity with project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration platforms.
- Proficiency in database design, data modelling, and data management technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, data lakes).
- Experience with cloud data platforms, including Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on expertise with ETL tools and data integration platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working flexibly and taking on a range of responsibilities to support their team.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a large, multi-cultural organization.

2: Partner, Data Engineer
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 years’ experience in data engineering, ETL development, or a related role.
- Comprehensive understanding of data pipeline development and data modeling principles.
- Comfortable developing and maintaining data pipelines using programming languages like Python and SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Familiarity/experience with cloud-based data warehousing and platform technologies (e.g. SQL server, Microsoft Azure DW/Data Lake, AWS Redshift, etc.) and their data services.
- Comfortable working flexibly and taking on a range of responsibilities to support their team.

3: Partner, Data Scientist
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science and/or analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
- Proven experience in a Data Science role, ideally with semi and unstructured data (e.g. paragraphs of text).
- Demonstrable skills in preparing, analyzing, and visualizing data, with experience in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Strong understanding of data science lifecycle methodologies.
- Experience working with Python or other scripting languages and SQL.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
