Organization: National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE)

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent constitutional body established under Article 102 of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. NEBE is responsible for organizing national and local elections and referendums. Since its establishment, the Board has conducted five national elections, two local elections, and six referendums.
Available Positions
1. Junior Finance Expert II
Education & Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 2 years (Master’s) or 4 years (Bachelor’s) relevant experience
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Financial rules, tax laws, payroll preparation
- IFMIS proficiency, budgeting, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in federal and local languages
- Not a member of a political party
Duty Station: Nekemte, Jimma, Gode
2. Human Resources and Administration Expert
Education & Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in HRM, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Management, or related field
- 5 years (Master’s) or 7 years (Bachelor’s) experience
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving, adaptability, teamwork
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Not a member of a political party
Duty Station: Shashemene, Jimma, Gode, Bonga, Assosa
3. Senior Finance Expert
Education & Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
- 7 years (Master’s) or 8 years (Bachelor’s) with 4 years in leadership
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Financial rules, tax laws, internal regulations, reporting procedures
- Financial modelling, data analysis, and management
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
4. Head, Branch Offices
Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. (8 years) or Master’s (10 years) in Law, Political Science, Human Rights, Project Management, Management
- Minimum 4 years in leadership
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Change management, human resource, finance, procurement, logistics
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking, resource allocation, delegation, relationship building
Duty Station: NEBE offices in Dessie and Debre Birhan
5. Information Desk Assistant / Receptionist
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Management, Public Administration, Secretarial Science, Office Management, or related field
- 1 year (Bachelor’s) or 3 years (Diploma) relevant experience
Key Skills:
- Good command of Amharic (fluency required)
- Self-organization, teamwork, stress tolerance, discipline
- Customer service and communication skills
