As part of its growth and digital transformation agenda, Awach SACCOS is seeking highly motivated Junior IT Officers to support its operations across Addis Ababa and regional branches.
Position: Junior IT Officer
Level: Junior (1–2 Years Experience)
Open to: Both male and female candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues at branch offices
- Troubleshoot user problems and respond to IT support requests
- Install, configure, and maintain systems, software, and digital platforms
- Assist in managing databases and ensuring data security
- Maintain up-to-date IT inventory and documentation
- Support digital and mobile banking services
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure smooth technology delivery
- Participate in trainings to strengthen technical and communication skills
- Execute other technology support tasks assigned by supervisors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
- CGPA of 3.5 or above
- Good exit exam results
- 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience (experience in financial institutions is a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail and high-quality performance under pressure
- Fast learner with good problem-solving ability
- Fluent in English
