Position: Intern Physiotherapist
Humanity & Inclusion is offering an internship opportunity to recent Physiotherapy graduates from Ethiopian universities as part of its efforts to strengthen Ethiopia’s rehabilitation workforce and support newly graduated professionals in transitioning into clinical practice.
Educational Qualification
- Fresh BSc graduate in Physiotherapy from a recognized university.
- Applicants must have graduated in 2026.

Applicants should demonstrate:
- Willingness and ability to work in remote locations.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and Humanity & Inclusion’s mandate.
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.

- Ability to work under pressure.
- High level of personal organization and flexibility.
- Willingness to travel frequently to field target areas, including Woredas and Kebeles.
Internship Benefits and Support
During the internship period, Humanity & Inclusion will provide:
- Daily allowance: ETB 1,000.
- Transport allowance: ETB 8,800.
- Communication allowance: ETB 4,400.
- Allowances are subject to applicable Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Transportation from Addis Ababa to the duty station at the beginning of the internship.
- Return transportation to Addis Ababa upon successful completion of the full internship assignment, subject to supervisor approval.
- Group Yearly Renewable Term Life (GYRT) insurance coverage for work-related accidents in accordance with HI policies.
- Accommodation provided by Degehabur General Hospital.
- Continuous technical supervision and mentorship from experienced rehabilitation professionals.
- Practical experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting serving diverse populations.
- Opportunities to strengthen clinical competencies and professional development.
Internship Contract Note
Severance pay, compensation, and reinstatement do not apply to the internship contract.
