JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Henosis Saving and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd (HSACCOS) is legally registered organization by the Cooperative bureau of Nifas Silk Lafto Sub city. Henosis SACCOS has a vision to be ‘ one of the best SACCO in Ethiopia that fulfills its members’ economic and social needs by 2030” with mission of ‘Improve socio-economic conditions of members & other people through mobilizing saving and creating access of credit,Henosis Saving and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd invites qualified application for the following job positions.
Position 1: Accountant and cashier
- Qualification: Accounting, Cooperative accounting or related fields of study.
- Experience: 5 year for BA and four years of the experience should be directly related to cooperative/SACCO.
Main Duties: Handling all the cash transaction of the Society, receive payment by cheque, deposit slips etc., checking daily cash accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records
- Ensure records are accurate and payments are processed properly and on time
- Oversee the Society’s financial operations to promote efficient functioning
- Provide financial information to management (via the operations or finance manager) by researching, analyzing accounting data, and preparing reports
- Handle monetary transactions (cash, check, or deposit slip) from customers in exchange for goods or services
- Prepare financial reports and maintain proficiency with Peachtree accounting software
Term of Employment: Contract for one year with possibility of renewal
Position 2: Legal service and loan recovery officer
- Qualification: Law, corporate law or related fields.
- Experience: 5 year for BA three years of the experience should be on SACCOS
Personal Skills:
- To provide legal counsel and advise to Management on all litigation matters.
- To assist the Deputy General Manager to draft, review and advice on commercial contracts and lease documents for Henosis SACCOS Ltd to ensure the Society’s interest is safeguarded.
- To work in close liaison with external lawyers in all matters to ensure that the Society’s position is well represented/ defended.
- To continuously review and advice on existing laws and their impact on the Society.
Term of Employment: Contract for one year with possibility of renewal
