Hagerie Television is an emerging television station currently broadcasting to a wide audience across Ethiopia and surrounding regions. The station is built on four core values: Integrity, Civility, Analytical Thinking, and Conscious Responsibility.
As part of its growing operations, Hagerie TV is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior IT Technician to support its daily IT and digital broadcasting activities.
Position: Junior IT Technician
This role is ideal for entry-level IT professionals who are passionate about technology, media systems, and digital broadcasting environments.
Educational Requirements
- 10+4 in Information Technology
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Science and Technology, or related field
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows and related platforms)
- Good understanding of productivity software tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support users in a fast-paced media environment
- Willingness to learn and stay updated with emerging IT trends and technologies
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to staff and resolve hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems efficiently
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and data security controls
- Schedule and upload broadcast playlists
- Upload and manage Daily News and Weekly Programs on social media platforms
- Create thumbnails for news and program content
- Support daily IT operations across the organization
- Ensure smooth digital broadcasting workflow
