JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Position: Shift Mechanical Technician
Qualifications
➠ TVET Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
➠ Proven experience in a similar role within the beverage or manufacturing industry.
➠ In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, utilities, and maintenance practices.
➠ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
➠ Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
➠ Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
➠ Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
➠ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Result areas responsibilities
➠ Able to maintain, modify, recondition and replace parts of brewing machineries.
➠ Develop sketches and drawings for modification and installations.
➠ Execute preventive and planned maintenance tasks as per schedule to increase availability& reliability and reduce unplanned downtime of Brewing and Cellar machines.
➠ Take proactive actions before machine fails to ensure availability of machineries.
➠ Carrie out quality maintenance in professional approach and avoids mistakes in maintenance to ensure smooth operation of production.
➠ Monitors conditions of Brewing and Cellar machines continually and performs required adjustments.
➠ Supports other Shift Brewing Mechanics in their maintenance duties.
➠ Examine performance of Brewing and Cellar process equipment to detect and locate malfunctions and inefficiencies
➠ Maintain precise record of maintenance information such as maintenance carried out, spare parts/materials used and work duration taken.
