We’re now hiring fresh graduate engineers for our Graduate Design Engineer Trainee Program, focusing on pipeline design for petrochemical and industrial projects.
Job Summary – Design Engineer Trainee
As a Graduate Trainee, you will join our elite training program, gaining hands-on experience in pipeline engineering. You’ll work closely with senior engineers on international projects while developing practical skills in design software, project execution, and cross-border collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in designing, testing, and implementing pipeline engineering solutions

Perform technical analysis and feasibility studies for ongoing projects

Collaborate with cross-border teams across China, East Asia, Africa, and the Middle East
-
Participate in project planning, execution, and reporting
-
Troubleshoot technical issues during design and implementation
-
Strictly follow safety and industry regulations
-
Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to progress reports
-
Learn and apply engineering design methods under expert mentorship
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

GPA Requirements: 3.0+ for male applicants, 2.8+ for female applicants
-
Fresh graduates or up to 5 years of experience
-
Graduates from Chinese universities and top Ethiopian institutions (AAU-AAIT, AASTU, ASTU, BDU, AMU, MU, MIT) are highly encouraged
-
Strong academic performance in university and secondary school

Basic Chinese language proficiency is a strong advantage

High integrity, discipline, and work ethic
-
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams
Technical Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD (self-taught or formally trained)

Familiarity with:
-
ArchiCAD
-
Civil 3D
-
Infraworks
-
Other design tools and simulation software
-

Knowledge of pipeline industry standards and safety protocols
Program Details & Commitment:
-
1-year intensive training program with full salary, tools, and mentorship

Must commit to working with the company for 3 years after completing the training

Willingness to work overtime and travel abroad for projects
