The sector consists of seven projects with a combined budget of EUR 140.2 million, co-funded by the European Union and the German Government.
Position: Project Management Intern
GIZ Ethiopia is seeking qualified and motivated fresh graduates for the position of Project Management Intern. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in project management, event coordination, communications, and international development while working in a multicultural environment.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized higher education institution.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic language skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated interest in project management, event coordination, communications, and development projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with the ability to contribute to communication materials, social media content, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, reliability, and commitment to organizational values.
- Demonstrated self-awareness, empathy, conflict sensitivity, and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Strong gender awareness and intercultural competence with the ability to work respectfully with diverse stakeholders.
Advantageous Qualifications
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience in project management, event coordination, administration, or with an international organization.
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
