POSITION SUMMARY
IRC is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its operations in Aleta Wondo, Ethiopia. This is an exciting opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on finance experience in the NGO sector. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting routine finance operations, maintaining documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry aligned with IRC procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in routine financial documentation, payment preparation, and filing.
- Maintain up-to-date records of expenditures, payments, and petty cash.
- Support reconciliation processes and data entry into financial systems.
- Liaise with internal departments for timely processing of transactions.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Adhere to IRC financial policies and the Code of Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Diploma holders: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree holders: 0 years of experience required.
- Minimum 6 months IRC internship service required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- NGO experience is an advantage.
