Position Summary
MERQ is seeking a Finance Assistant Intern to support day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for detail-oriented candidates who want hands-on experience in financial management, tax compliance, and administrative tasks in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage petty cash and maintain supporting financial documents
- Assist the Finance Officer with tax declarations and submissions
- Prepare daily payment vouchers and ensure accurate documentation
- Maintain and organize financial records, both electronic and hard copy
- Deliver bank payment letters, checks, and collect bank statements
- Apply PAID stamps and file financial documents appropriately
- Support project administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, and document collection
- Participate in training on financial processes to develop core finance responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting or related field
- 0 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates encouraged)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professionalism and effective interpersonal communication
