Position: Junior Architect
Qualification Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Willingness to relocate and work outside Addis Ababa when required.
Position Overview
The Junior Architect will assist in the design, development, and documentation of various architectural projects, contributing to concept creation, detailed drawings, and technical execution.
This position offers a unique opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience in large-scale design and construction projects under the guidance of senior architects and engineers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Conceptual Design: Understand client needs, prepare initial sketches, and develop conceptual layouts for new projects.
- Proposal Presentation: Create visual and written presentations that communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Design Development: Produce detailed architectural plans, models, and renderings showing complete building systems and components.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare construction documents including architectural drawings, material selections, and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other specialists to ensure coordination across disciplines.
- Code Compliance: Ensure that all designs meet applicable building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Sustainability & Functionality: Integrate sustainable and accessible design principles into architectural solutions.
