India and Ethiopia share a long history of economic and commercial relations dating back more than 2,000 years. Historical records indicate that Indian traders maintained trade links with the ancient port of Adulis during the Axumite Kingdom, exchanging silk and spices for gold and ivory.
In recent years, economic cooperation between the two countries has expanded significantly, particularly in trade, investment, agriculture, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.
The Embassy of India in Addis Ababa is seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the position of Marketing Executive.
Position: Marketing Executive
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be graduates from a recognized university, preferably in:
- Medical Sciences
- Pharmaceuticals
- Marketing
- Economics
Required Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Fluent in written and spoken Amharic
- Good computer skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and institutions
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:
- Trade
- Commerce
- Marketing
- Commercial activities
- Business development
- Public relations
Age Requirement
- Applicants must be below 40 years of age
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote trade and commercial activities between India and Ethiopia
- Coordinate with government and private-sector stakeholders
- Organize outreach programs, meetings, and events
- Support business cooperation and investment initiatives
- Assist in commercial and marketing-related activities of the Embassy
Salary
- Starting Salary: USD 650 per month
