Position: Administrative Assistant
The Embassy of Brazil in Addis Ababa is recruiting a qualified Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of its Chancery. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional diplomatic environment and contribute to the Embassy’s administrative and consular activities.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Completed secondary education (high school)
- Relevant work experience in administrative or related fields
- Oral and written proficiency in Amharic and English
- Knowledge of Portuguese is desirable
- Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility, willingness to learn, and basic mathematical knowledge
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Embassy’s Chancery
- Assist in the issuance of visas, passports, and other travel documents
- Perform notarial acts and civil registry services
- Offer assistance to Brazilian nationals, including those in custody
- Organize and support Embassy meetings, events, and official functions
- Draft and translate texts in Amharic and English
- Liaise with Ethiopian and international stakeholders
