Cheshire Ethiopia is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to providing orthopedic and social rehabilitation services for children and young people with disabilities in Ethiopia.
Established in 1962 with support from Leonard Cheshire and the grandchildren of Haile Selassie, the organization plays a leading role in physical rehabilitation services across the country.
Position: Junior Physiotherapist
This position is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about rehabilitation services and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Educational Qualification
- BSc Degree in Physiotherapy
- Experience: 0 years (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments of patients referred by medical professionals
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Evaluate and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Apply physiotherapy techniques including:
- Massage and body manipulation
- Passive and active exercises
- Electrotherapy
- Heat and cold therapy
- Assist patients using prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Provide pre- and post-physiotherapy support for assistive technology users
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of equipment
- Support clinic administration and patient scheduling
- Participate in training rehabilitation workers and staff
- Prepare and submit periodic reports
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
