Channel 1 Trading PLC, known as Channel 1, is Ethiopia’s new home for fresh entertainment. It is a dynamic TV station dedicated to delivering original, high-quality content tailored to Ethiopia’s diverse and youthful audience.
The company is currently inviting qualified and motivated applicants to apply for Sales and Marketing positions within its growing media and advertising department.
Position 1: Sales Officer
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields
- 1–3 years of direct sales experience
- Experience in advertising sales (TV, radio, print, or digital media) is a strong advantage
- Experience in B2B corporate services is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s business and commercial landscape, especially Addis Ababa
Skills & Competencies
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain a results-driven attitude
- Confidence in presenting to senior corporate executives
- Fluency in Amharic and English (spoken and written)
Position 2: Head of Sales & Marketing / Advertising
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Media/Communications, or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or advertising
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in negotiating high-value corporate advertising contracts
- Strong understanding of media buying, broadcast scheduling, and advertising markets in Ethiopia
Skills
- Strong negotiation, pitching, and client relationship management skills
- Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making ability
- Excellent communication skills in Amharic and English
SALARY
Negotiable, based on qualification and experience.
