Position: Communication Intern
The Communication Intern will support project communication, documentation, and networking activities. The role focuses on creating digital and print communication materials that highlight achievements, lessons learned, and key messages related to adolescent sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and gender-based violence (GBV).
The intern will collaborate closely with CARE project teams, government offices, NGOs, and media outlets to enhance visibility, strengthen partnerships, and ensure alignment with CARE and GAC branding guidelines.
Educational Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Communications
- Journalism
- Public Relations
- Media Studies
- Graphic Design
- Or related fields
Desired
- Master’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or related fields
Language Skills
- Required Languages: English and Amharic
- Proficiency Level: High proficiency in speaking, writing, reading, and listening
Computer Skills
- High proficiency in:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- MS Access
- MS PowerPoint
Relevant Technical Skills
- Graphic Design: Basic skills in Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools
- Social Media: Familiarity with Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and content scheduling tools
- Photography & Video: Basic photo and video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, etc.)
- Digital Organization: Ability to manage shared folders (Google Drive, OneDrive) and file naming systems
Key Responsibilities
- Create social media and print communication materials
- Assist in producing learning and documentation products
- Support radio and TV communication planning
- Collect stories, photos, and profiles from the field
- Document milestones, best practices, and lessons learned
- Maintain communication material repositories
- Support dissemination of knowledge products through digital and print platforms

Contract Terms & Conditions
