BGI Ethiopia is currently inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following positions.
Position 1: Chemist
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Chemistry, Applied Biology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food, beverage, or FMCG industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physico-chemical laboratory analysis on raw materials, in-process products, finished products, and wastewater.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and national regulations.
- Perform planned and unplanned laboratory inspections and testing.
- Prepare laboratory chemicals and reagents.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records, analytical results, and chemical consumption reports.

- Hawassa
- Sebeta
Position 2: Junior Operator
Education
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related fields.
Experience
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience.
Skills & Requirements
Applicants should have:

Position 3: CMMS Database Officer
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Skills & Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computerized database management systems.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and technology.
- Advanced English language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
