Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have a BA degree or Level IV Diploma in one of the following fields:
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Management
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Hotel Management
- A related field of study
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates with zero years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants with up to 1 year of relevant work experience may also be considered.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of local market dynamics and hospitality supplies.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
JOB PURPOSE
The Purchaser will support procurement operations by coordinating purchasing documentation, maintaining procurement records, tracking procurement requests, and ensuring that all procurement transactions are properly documented.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Registering and encoding procurement requests.
- Maintaining procurement tracking records.
- Preparing and organizing procurement files.
- Filing and maintaining procurement documents.
- Maintaining the Purchase Order register.
- Maintaining Goods Received Note (GRN) records.
- Organizing and updating supplier documentation.
- Verifying the completeness of procurement files.
- Monitoring procurement status and progress.
- Following up on pending Purchase Orders.
- Updating procurement tracking sheets.
- Following up on GRN documentation.
- Preparing weekly and monthly procurement reports.
