Position: Legal Officer
Job Summary
The Legal Officer ensures that the Bank is protected from legal risks and vulnerabilities by providing sound legal advice, reviewing contractual documents, and supporting credit process performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on all banking operations and credit activities.
- Review and verify the legality of loan and collateral documents.
- Draft and vet contracts, agreements, and memoranda.
- Represent the Bank in court proceedings and regulatory matters when required.
- Support internal teams to ensure compliance with Ethiopian banking laws and regulations.
Qualification:
- LLB/LLM Degree in Law from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in the banking sector.
Workplace:
- Bahir Dar District Operation
