As part of its digital expansion, Abyssinia Bank is seeking a talented and motivated Associate UX/UI Designer to enhance user experiences and interfaces across its banking products.

Position: Associate UX/UI Designer

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related fields. Certificates in UX/UI or Graphic Design are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including 3 years in UX/UI or Graphic Design. Experience in the banking sector is a plus.

Job Objective

Design engaging and intuitive user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) for Abyssinia Bank’s digital products with increasing autonomy and ownership.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Execute design tasks across research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability tests, and competitor analysis.
Assist in developing low-to-mid fidelity wireframes and defining user personas.
Design UI elements including icons, layouts, components, and screen transitions.
Organize content and features using information architecture and sitemap planning.
Maintain UI/UX documentation and design libraries.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
Participate in design critiques, agile team discussions, and ideation sessions.
Test developed applications to ensure UI/UX compliance with approved designs.
Assist in developing user scenarios and validating design direction.
Track design history and maintain version control.
Support metrics monitoring to ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare periodic reports and assist in team management tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
