JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Position: Program Interns
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, Gender Studies, or a related field.
- Organizational skills for coordinating and facilitating events, with attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Amharic and English; knowledge of other Ethiopian languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and basic social media management is a plus.
- Previous experience in similar roles or internships is a plus but not required.
- A strong interest in women’s rights, political participation, and peace process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of activities aimed at promoting women’s leadership and involvement in political and peace processes.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating events, workshops, and training related to women’s leadership in political and peace processes.
- Assist in compiling reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external partner.
- Assist in conducting research related to women’s political participation and public decision-making processes.
- Provide administrative support to the program team as needed.
- Support the organization’s advocacy efforts by contributing to social media campaigns, creating content that highlights women’s participation in peace and political processes, and promoting TIMRAN’s vision.
