SNV is a mission-driven global development partner working in more than 20 countries across Africa and Asia. With over 60 years of experience, SNV focuses on gender equality and social inclusion, climate adaptation and mitigation, and strong institutions and governance.
The BRIDGE+ Program (Nov 2023 – Dec 2028) is implemented by SNV, Wageningen University (WUR), and Agriterra, with financial support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN). The program aims to strengthen local development initiatives and operational effectiveness in Ethiopia.
Position: Project Assistant Intern
SNV is seeking qualified and motivated Project Assistant Interns to support operational activities for the BRIDGE+ Program. The internship provides hands-on experience in project administration, office management, logistics, financial administration, and contract support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Office & Administration Services
- Manage office equipment and maintain a clean working environment
- Coordinate office activities for BRIDGE senior management and partners
- Prepare and handle confidential documents and briefs
2. Fleet & Travel Management
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, itineraries, and travel vouchers
- Manage drivers and transportation for the BRIDGE team and partners
- Ensure timely completion of deliveries and travel arrangements
3. Secretarial & Communication Services
- Handle correspondence with suppliers, contractors, banks, donors, staff, and government
- Organize, assess, and forward relevant documents to BRIDGE management
- Assist in preparing communications, reports, and records
4. Event & Meeting Management
- Arrange meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Prepare agendas, collect materials, and track follow-up actions
- Take minutes and maintain records of proceedings
5. Financial Administration & Accounting Support
- Assist with payment processing, financial reports, and grant documentation
- Support preparation for annual audits and liaise with vendors
- Maintain organized records for all grant-related documentation
6. Contract Administration
- Support preparation and management of contracts for goods and services
- Track payments, deadlines, and ensure proper filing of contracts
- Coordinate with Finance, HR, Logistics, and Administration
7. Organizational Effectiveness
- Support cross-functional coordination and communication
- Contribute to operational excellence initiatives
- Provide administrative support for program and organizational activities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Financial Management, Project Management, or related fields
- Experience: 0–1 year relevant work or internship experience
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Local language proficiency is required
