Position Summary
Safaricom Ethiopia is seeking qualified and experienced professionals across technical, engineering, product development, FinTech, cloud infrastructure, and network optimization roles. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic telecom environment.

1. System Engineer: VAS
Education Requirements:
- BSc Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
Experience:
- 3+ years in IT/Telecommunication or Software Engineering
Key Technical Skills:
- VAS solutions (Messaging, Voice, SDP)
- Java development, REST API, microservices
- Virtualization & container infrastructure
- Distributed systems, Python, SQL
- Linux/Unix, Shell scripting
- TCP/IP, SS7, GSM MAP, SMPP
- Databases (Oracle, MySQL)
- 3GPP protocols

2. MPESA Consumer Saving and Credit Specialist
Education Requirements:
- Business or IT Undergraduate Degree (MBA is an advantage)
- Professional qualifications from recognized institution
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- At least 1 year in product management/development/sales
- Experience in credit and savings products within financial services

3. Software Engineer: FinTech Operations
Education Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
Experience:
- 2+ years in mobile money systems, banking, FinTech or DFS
Key Technical Skills:
- Unix/Linux administration
- ITIL & Agile methodologies
- Databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Payment gateway technologies (IPG, APIGEE)
- JSON, SOAP, Swagger/Open API
- DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube)
- Monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Zabbix)

Education Requirements:
