Organization: Positive Action for Development (PAD)
Position: Junior Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) Intern
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (50% travel to field offices/project sites)
Job Type: Full-time

Positive Action for Development (PAD) is a rapidly expanding civil society organization in Ethiopia, implementing inclusive and conflict-sensitive programs across humanitarian, NEXUS, and development sectors. PAD operates in multiple regions including Addis Ababa, Amhara, Oromia, Harari, Afar, Somali, Tigray, Benishangul-Gumuz, and southern regional states.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for monitoring and evaluation activities
- Assist in research and learning initiatives to improve program quality
- Participate in field visits, data verification, and program assessments
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure accurate and timely MERL outputs
Qualification & Skills
- BSc or higher in Statistics, Economics, Development Economics, Agricultural Economics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or related fields
- No prior work experience required
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis tools such as KoBo, ODK, CommCare, SPSS, STATA, etc.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
