About People in Need (PIN)
People in Need (PIN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on the ideals of humanism, freedom, equality, and solidarity. The organization considers human dignity and freedom as fundamental values and believes that people everywhere have the right to make decisions about their lives in line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Established in 1992 by a group of Czech war correspondents, PIN evolved into a professional humanitarian organization providing assistance in crisis-affected regions and promoting human rights worldwide.
PIN Ethiopia is currently seeking an energetic, disciplined, and responsible Female intern to work under the IT Department.
Position: IT Intern
Educational Requirements
- Minimum BA Degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information System
- Computer Technology
- Other related fields from a recognized higher education institution
- Only graduates of 2024 or 2025 E.C
- Zero years of work experience required
Required Skills and Competencies
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Installing and reinstalling operating systems
- Installing software and performing software updates
- Connecting client stations to network resources
- Setting up and maintaining protection against malicious software (viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, etc.)
- Good judgment regarding confidentiality and handling sensitive materials
- Excellent spoken and written Amharic and English
- Three (3) strong references (will be crosschecked/contacted)

Place of Work
Based in Hawassa, Sidama Region, with frequent field travel to PIN’s project sites in different regions as required.
