About NEBE
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent constitutional body established under Article 102 of the FDRE Constitution. Since its inception, NEBE has conducted multiple national and local elections and referendums across Ethiopia, ensuring free, fair, and credible electoral processes.
Reformed under Proclamation No. 1133/2019, NEBE continues to modernize Ethiopia’s electoral system through institutional strengthening, transparency, and capacity building — promoting democratic participation and good governance at all levels.
Available Positions
1. Election Legal Assistant
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (LLB) or Master’s (LLM) in Law.
- No prior experience required (fresh graduates encouraged).
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic understanding of legal principles and electoral law.
- Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, legal research tools).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ethical mindset with a commitment to confidentiality.
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
2. Election Operations Planning Expert
Education & Experience:
- BA or Master’s in Management, Economics, Law, Project or Business Administration, or Public Administration.
- Minimum 7 years (BA) or 5 years (Master’s) relevant experience.
Training & Knowledge:
- Project or program management.
- Strong understanding of electoral processes.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Must not be a member of a political party.

3. Senior Stakeholders Engagement Expert
Education & Experience:
- BA or Master’s in Social Work, Business Administration, Sociology, Political Science, Law, Education, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years (BA) or 7 years (Master’s) relevant experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- High integrity, honesty, and service-oriented attitude.
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

4. Election Dispute Resolution (EDR) Coordinator
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s (LLB) or Master’s (LLM) in Law.
- Minimum 8 years (BA) or 7 years (Master’s) experience, including 4 years in leadership.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong mediation and conflict resolution skills.
- Impartial, ethical, and professional approach.
- Proficient in conflict analysis and documentation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
