About the Opportunity
The MSc SRHPP is a 12-month intensive online master’s programme designed to equip health professionals and public health practitioners with advanced competencies in designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based sexual and reproductive health (SRH) policies and programmes.
This scholarship opportunity is fully funded for eligible candidates from sub-Saharan Africa and covers full tuition at LSHTM’s LMIC rate plus a one-time IT/internet allowance.
Programme Format
- Live (synchronous) sessions: 6–12 hours per week during teaching terms
- Asynchronous learning: Pre-recorded lectures, readings, and independent study
- Workload: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Mentorship & Support: Personal tutor, SRH expert mentorship, and masterclasses on leadership and advocacy
Key Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the MSc SRHPP will be able to:
- Understand SRH policy and health systems contexts
- Analyse social, political, legal, ethical, and economic drivers affecting SRH programmes
- Use evidence to improve programme quality and effectiveness
- Design, cost, and monitor SRH programmes
- Strengthen advocacy, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Scholarship Coverage
- Full tuition fees at LSHTM’s LMIC fee rate: GBP 17,850
- One-time IT/internet allowance: GBP 1,000
- Note: The scholarship does not include a living stipend
Eligibility Criteria
- National of and ordinarily resident in a sub-Saharan African country
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in SRH or related health field
- Submitted MSc SRHPP application with all supporting documents
- Preference may be given to candidates from selected countries including Ethiopia
