The Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) is a government-owned enterprise established on December 18, 2015 under Council of Ministers Regulation No. 366/2015, with a significant capital base exceeding 20 billion Birr. The corporation plays a key role in delivering large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across Ethiopia.
Position: Junior Health, Environment and Occupational Safety Officer
ECWC is seeking motivated and qualified fresh graduates to join as Junior HSE Officers. The role focuses on supporting workplace safety, environmental protection, and occupational health standards across project sites.
Job Requirements
Education:
- BSc Degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field
Experience:
- 0 years (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
Eligibility Criteria
- Only graduates of 2016 and 2017 E.C. are eligible
- Minimum CGPA:
- Male applicants: 3.0 and above
- Female applicants: 2.8 and above
- Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies
- Monitor workplace safety practices and report risks
- Assist in ensuring compliance with HSE standards
- Participate in inspections and safety awareness activities
- Maintain proper documentation and reports
