JOB POSITION & REQUIREMENTS
Position 1: NRM/PW & Environment Facilitator
Role Summary
The NRM/PW & Environment Facilitator will work closely with kebele-level government experts to implement TRAIN-DFSA natural resource management (NRM), environmental, and disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives. The role primarily involves ensuring that all NRM structures in targeted watersheds meet set standards and that other public works adhere to the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
➠ Planning & Documentation : Prepare and document project plans.
➠ Implementation : Oversee the rollout of program activities.
➠ Monitoring : Regularly check the progress and quality of NRM and public works activities.
➠ Reporting : Produce and submit periodic reports.
Job Requirements
➠ Experience : Minimum 1 year in a related role, preferably in an international NGO setting.
➠ Education : Bachelor’s degree in Irrigation Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Soil and Water Conservation, Agricultural Engineering, or related fields.
➠ Language : Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic or the local language of the project area; basic English knowledge is required.

Position 2: Finance Officer
Role Summary
The Finance Officer will be responsible for overseeing financial activities at the Regional/Mekelle office, ensuring accurate processing of payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This includes managing payroll deductions, balance sheet accounts, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
➠ Review and manage payments and payment documents.
➠ Prepare payment journals and reports using MS Dynamics.
➠ Process payroll deductions and ensure timely status updates for legal liabilities.
➠ Reconcile cash, fuel coupon, and stock balances.
Job Requirements
➠ Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Project Management.
➠ Experience : At least 3 years in grants management and financial roles, preferably within an NGO environment.
➠ Skills : Proficiency in MS Dynamics, Power BI, and other accounting software. Strong organizational and multicultural team collaboration skills.

Position 3: Driver
Role Summary
The Driver will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to various departments, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and ready for use. Additional duties include managing mileage records and handling organization errands such as bank transfers and mail deliveries.
Essential Tasks
➠ Regularly inspect vehicle conditions and maintain mileage records.
➠ Facilitate transportation services to meet departmental needs.
➠ Ensure the vehicle is clean and serviced on time.
➠ Handle bank transfers, post deliveries, and settle bills as assigned.
Job Requirements
➠ Education : Completion of high school.
➠ Experience : 2 years of driving experience, preferably with an NGO.
➠ License : Valid 3rd-grade driving license.
➠ Language : Proficiency in the local language (Tigrigna) is preferred, with basic English skills as an advantage.
