About the Embassy
The Commercial Wing of the Embassy of Pakistan in Addis Ababa serves as a key diplomatic and economic liaison between Pakistan and Ethiopia. We foster trade relations, investment opportunities, and mutual cooperation across sectors. As part of our operations, we are currently seeking a dependable and experienced local Driver to support the day-to-day transportation and logistical functions of the embassy.
Position Summary: Driver
We are hiring a local driver with a strong track record of safe driving, excellent knowledge of Addis Ababa’s routes, and the ability to communicate professionally in both English and Amharic.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate embassy vehicles in a safe and professional manner
- Perform daily maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in proper working condition
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for pickups and drop-offs
- Transport embassy officials and documents securely and on time
- Maintain accurate trip records and mileage logs
- Support administrative errands as required
- Coordinate closely with the Minister of Trade & Investment on logistics
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven driving experience, preferably with international organizations or embassies
- Fluency in English and Amharic
- Knowledge of Addis Ababa traffic rules, safety standards, and road networks
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours or weekends when needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
