About the Program
The DESY Summer Student Program 2026 is a fully funded internship for undergraduate and master’s students from all over the world. This international program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on professional and academic experience in a diverse, research-oriented environment in Germany.
Selected students will participate in research, academic activities, tours, and professional workshops in Hamburg or Zeuthen. All program costs are covered by DESY.
Program Benefits
- Fully Funded: All expenses for selected students are covered.
- Living Allowance: €1,200 per month for a single participant.
- Travel Expenses: Travel to and from Germany is included.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a foreign national (non-German citizen).
- Must have a bachelor’s degree and be within the first year of a master’s program.
- Applicants who already have or will obtain a master’s degree in 2024 are not eligible.
- Must not have participated in DESY Summer Student Program before.
- Good working knowledge of English is required.
- Basic computing skills are necessary.
