Position 1: Associate Broadcast Journalist
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: BA Degree in one of the following:
- Broadcast Journalism (TV or Radio stream)
- Journalism and Communication
- Multimedia Journalism
- Broadcast Media Journalism
- Mass Communication
- Communication
- Public Relations
- Political Science and International Relations (PSIR)
- Political Science
- Language and Literature
- Theatrical Art
- Or other closely related fields
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of directly related experience
Language Requirements
- Amharic: Fluency required
- Tigrigna: Mandatory fluency (written and spoken) for designated position
- Afan Oromo: Mandatory fluency (written and spoken) for designated position
Place of Work: Under CBE Head Office
Position 2: Broadcast Journalist
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: BA Degree in the same relevant fields listed above
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of directly related experience
Language Requirements
- Amharic: Fluency required
- Afan Oromo: Fluency (written and spoken) required for designated position
Place of Work: Head Office
Key Responsibilities (for both roles)
- Develop and produce high-quality broadcast content aligned with the Bank’s communication strategy
- Conduct interviews, script development, editing, and on-air presentation
- Collaborate with internal departments for accurate and timely messaging
- Ensure content is linguistically and culturally appropriate for target audiences
- Maintain ethical journalism standards and media integrity in all communications
