Education & Experience
- Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical Electronics Technology, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of experience in wood processing or similar industrial environments is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations in the material preparation section
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Safely operate loaders and log grapples for material handling
- Sharpen, maintain, and monitor cutting tools
- Provide general support across the preparation section
- Supervise and train junior staff on best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management
- Maintain accurate records of material usage and production metrics
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivating team environment
